If you're looking for an exhilarating and artistic experience, mark your calendar for July 27th and 28th, as New River Beach Provincial Park is hosting one of Atlantic Canada's largest sand sculpture competitions! This event promises a weekend packed with creativity, fun, and friendly competition, all set against the beautiful backdrop of New River Beach.
The main event on July 27th features a Sand Sculpture Competition with special guest Karen Fralich, a five-time Sand Sculpting World Champion. Witness Karen's incredible talent as she creates her own masterpiece and offers valuable advice to the competitors. With 61 sand sculpting competitions worldwide and numerous titles under her belt, Karen is the perfect mentor for anyone looking to up their sand sculpting game.
On July 28th, the excitement continues with an eco-competition and a series of 1 hour workshops with Karen! More details to follow, so check back.

Spectators
If you're planning to attend as a spectator, no registration is required. Simply show up and immerse yourself in the incredible sand sculpting displays, music, workshops, and a vendor market.
Entry Fee
Free Entry, but we kindly ask both sculptors and spectators to support the local Food Bank and SPCA by bringing a non-perishable food item or making a cash donation for entry.
Event Times
The event kicks off at 7:45am on Saturday, July 27th, with registration and check-in. Sculpting begins at 8:00am, followed by judging at 2:00pm and the grand prize ceremony at 3:30pm.
