Canoose Outpost

Rent a tube and enjoy a sunny day floating down the St.Croix River. Great canoeing rides await you on the St. Croix River as well. There are plenty of campsites along the river and a few access roads making one, two or three day trips possible.

Waweig River Campground

Serviced and unserviced sites are available at the Waweig River Campground, which is located 15 minutes from St. Stephen. There are old hiking trails along the river which have been used by the youth camp for many years. Activities include fishing for sea trout, Atlantic salmon, and striped bass, washer toss, ziplining, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, drive-in/movie weekends, and a canteen.

Since 1955, Oak Bay Park has been an integral part of our region. It is located by the Bay of Fundy, where the tides ebb and flow twice a day 15 minutes from St. Stephen's business center. If you appreciate the smell of salt water or enjoy walking on the ocean floor, then this is the perfect spot for you. The park offers breathtaking sunsets that can be seen from most areas. Spanning 33.5 acres, the park features beautiful landscapes, delightful trees, and the most pleasing scenery you can find today. Notably, we have a Pine tree that is over 500 years old.

Unplug & Reconnect with Nature Located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the park's surrounding forest, fields, and beach offer a wide range of hands-on experiences. One of the unique features of Ganong Nature Park is the surrounding estuary, covering approximately 180 acres of intertidal beach zone, which visitors are encouraged to explore at low tide. Get ready to have a blast as the towns of St. Stephen in New Brunswick and Calais in Maine come together to host an international festival on both sides of the border. Make sure to bring your passport so that you can take in all the exciting events.
